- Take I–5 south toward downtown San Diego.
- Take the Laurel Street exit. At Laurel Street turn right and head west toward the airport.
- Laurel Street will merge into Harbor Drive.
- Continue driving west on Harbor Drive until you are in front of airport terminal 1.
- Make a left hand turn onto Harbor Island.
- Pass the first Sheraton Hotel building and follow the road to the right.
- Before you get to the second Sheraton Hotel building, look for the sign that says "Cabrillo Isle Marina".
- Turn right into the Cabrillo Isle Marina parking lot and park in one of the guest spots.
- Walk to the marina gate labeled "E" across from the white building that houses the deli, marina office, yacht brokerage, laundry, restrooms and showers, etc.
- Call (619) 602–4435 to be let through the gate (or just wait for someone to open the gate).
- Walk to "C" dock and turn right.
- MERMAID is the 11th boat down on the west side of the pier in slip C–21.
